Brian's Aquarium and Pet Care is Growing!
We are looking to expand our home boarder network. Our home boarding network provides in-home boarding for all types of pets. Our home boarders are independent contractors who bring animals in to their home to provide boarding services when our clients are out of town. Our boarders treat the animals they board as if they are their own. This may be the ideal position for a stay at home mom, empty nester, college student, or any other pet lover looking for a rewarding and enjoyable part time job that can provide some extra income.
-Experience providing pet care for animals that are not your own.
-Ability to walk 2+ non-continuous miles on a daily basis.
-Ability to properly and safely handle a variety of animals.
-Pass a background check.
-Pass a drug test.
-Have a valid driver’s license.
-Have a clean driving record.
-Great communication via phone, email, and text. This should be fast and accurate.
-Prompt, be where you need to be when you need to be there. Not 10 or even 5 minutes late.
-Be allowed to keep animals in your home.
-Not have any children or pets that would not do well with new and unfamiliar animals around.
-Provide daily pet care service to the animals you board.
-Be responsible for the safety of yourself, the pets, and any people or animals you may encounter in the course of providing boarding services.
-Follow a schedule provided by the client that may vary daily.
-Feed the rights foods at the right time.
-Maintain the safety of all pets at all times.
-Provide appropriate amounts of activity.
-Provide attention and affection.
-Must be able to work without supervision. This means learning policies and procedures quickly and thoroughly as well as knowing when to ask for clarification or assistance. This also means seamless communication via phone, text, and email.
-Being a great ambassador for the company and representing it in a positive light to everyone you meet.
-Ability to think quickly and stay calm in critical situations where the health, safety, and even lives of pets we provide care for may be at risk.
You will be an independent contractor, not an employee. You will be paid a competitive commission per job. This means the more jobs you get the more you get paid. Exact pay will be discussed at interviews.
